  • location and spatial organisation of economic activity;

  • processes of globalisation and socio-economic transformation and their impact on regional and local development;

  • innovativeness of the economy, its conditions and spatial differences; regional innovation strategies;

  • regional policy and challenges of the knowledge-based economy;  

  •  the development of the creative sector in European metropolitan regions (ACRE project);

  • shrinking cities and their regeneration strategies (COST project);

  • regional cooperation in the Polish-German border area (SEICOP project).
